This policy explains how StayDesk, operated by [OWNER LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietor ("we"), collects and uses information when you use staydeskapp.com (the "Service"). We collect as little as we can, and we never sell personal information.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address and, if you share them, your number of properties and the platforms you list on.
• Account: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Property content: the listing text and answers you provide, such as Wi-Fi details, check-in instructions, house rules, local recommendations and contact details you choose to show guests, plus the materials we generate from them.
• Reviews you paste: guest review text you paste so we can draft replies. We process it to create the drafts and don't use it for any other purpose.
• Billing: payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We receive your subscription status and customer ID, never your full card number.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. We use one session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We don't ask for your guests' personal information, and you shouldn't enter it.

How we use it

We use this information to run the Service, generate and host your guest materials, provide support, send account and service emails (including waitlist invitations), prevent abuse, and meet legal and tax obligations. With your consent, we may send occasional product updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Guest-facing pages

Guidebook and cleaner-checklist pages can be viewed by anyone with the link. They're marked so search engines shouldn't index them. Cleaner checklist progress is saved only in the cleaner's own browser.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers, each only for the purpose listed:

• Cloudflare: hosting, database, security and email routing
• Cloudflare Workers AI: generating draft text from the property content and reviews you submit. Cloudflare runs the models on its own network and does not use this content to train models.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments, subscriptions and sales tax
• [EMAIL PROVIDER, if used]: sending transactional and waitlist emails

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public. If the business is ever sold, information may transfer to the buyer under this policy.

Retention

We keep account and property data while your account is open. If you delete a property or your account, we delete the related data within 30 days. Backups may keep it for up to [90] more days. Waitlist emails are deleted on request or 24 months after our last email to you.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit or delete your property content in the app. Email hello@staydeskapp.com to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to opt out of marketing. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them as required. We'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, HttpOnly session cookies and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't put door codes, alarm codes or other sensitive security details in guest-facing content.

Children

StayDesk is for adults running a rental business. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

International users

StayDesk is run from the United States. Your information may be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and notify account holders by email or in the app.
